Resources for Islamic History

islam.jpg (21234 bytes)

There are a great many websites dedicated to an exploration of Islamic faith, history and civilization, and the sites listed here are by no means an attempt on my part to be exhaustive. An excellent starting point would be Paul Halsall's Internet Islamic Sourcebook. There you will find numerous primary sources as well as links to other resources. The University of Evansville's remarkable site, Exploring Ancient World Cultures, contains an outstanding Chronology of early Islamic history that is worth exploring.
