Nietzsche Resources |
Many of the resources listed below have been around for a while and are kept as up to date as possible. You will also find a number of Nietzsche societies as well as links to several of his works in digitized form. While it is difficult to read a Nietzsche text, it is even more difficult to read one on your computer screen. I recommend you download the text and read it offline. When I was preparing to discuss Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra a few years back, I decided the best approach might be a line by line review of "Zarathustra's Prologue." I downloaded the "Prologue," loaded it into my word processor, adjusted the left margin to two or three inches and ended up with an excellent vehicle with which to annotate the text. You will probably find more Internet resources specific to the
life and work of Friedrich Nietzsche than any other philosopher. I think this probably has
something to do with the fact that Nietzsche's work is both difficult and timely. The fact
that there are so many Nietzsche resources online is perhaps indicative of the reality
that Nietzsche still has something to say to us today.
